Canberra PCYC Ambassador Anj Barker OAM

Anj Barker OAM has been and Ambassador for the Canberra PCYC since 2017 and she works to end the cycle of relationship violence. Anj was savagely beaten at the age of 16 by her ex-boyfriend and suffered life changing injuries that still require surgery 16+ years later. Anj travels to Canberra and tours the schools with Canberra PCYC to deliver “Healthy Relationships Program including the Love Bites Program”.

In 2011, Angela (Anj) Barker OAM was named Victoria’s Young Australian of the Year in recognition of her anti-domestic violence advocacy and education after receiving significant injuries from a violent attack by her ex-boyfriend.

Her continuing community work saw Anj awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2019

Canberra PCYC Ambassador Troy Herfoss

Troy Herfoss, is an Australian Superbike Champion and is dedicated in supporting Canberra PCYC in providing the young people attending programs to build a positive future and achieve their dreams. Troy has had a very colourful career not just on the road race scene.

He has been the Australian Supermoto Champion, multiple AMA Supermoto Champion, X Games Silver medallist, Australian Supersport Champion, 2 times Australian Superbike Champion and is not too shabby on a bicycle either where he regularly competes on National cycling tours.

In 2014, Troy competed at Round 1 of the Australasian Superbike Championship for Team Honda Racing, taking the place of an injured Josh Hook. After a successful event at Round 1, Troy was asked to continue with the factory Honda team and took 3rd place in the 2014 ASC. In 2015, Troy won both the Australasian Superbike Championship and the FX-Superbike Championship in a spectacular season of racing.

Troy took his 2nd Superbike title in 2016 when he won the Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) onboard the CBR1000RR SP

Canberra PCYC Ambassador Myles Pollard

Myles Pollard has appeared in a number of feature films which include Wolverine and Drift for which he won the Best Actor award in the Western Australia Screen Awards.

He acted in The Turning, The War That Changed Us, Looking For Grace, Jasper Jones, and The Gateway for which Myles was nominated for the Best Actor at Film Quest Cthulhu Utah and was awarded The Best Actor award at the Austin Revolution Film festival Texas.

Myles also featured recently in the Vietnam war movie Danger Close The Award winning Actor, Producer and Director also has over 20 years teaching experience and is passionate about supporting young people reach their full potential in life.

Canberra PCYC Ambassador Paul Costa

Paul Costa, is an award winning Country Music Singer/Songwriter who with children of his own, believes that every child deserves a safe, loving home. One of Australian Country Music’s premium vocalist and live performers, Paul’s had an amazing response since the release of his 4th album Wheels & Steel opening at #2 on the ARIA charts and scoring #1 radio hits with the first two singles Tractors & Bikes and Big End Of Town. He’s a multi award winning artist who has performed all over Australia. His career has also taken him internationally to Japan, New Zealand, Thailand and through Europe.

Another memorable highlight was touring East Timor entertaining Australian & NZ Troops in 2008 working with Forces Entertainment.

Paul has Three Golden Guitar Nominations for the 38th CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia including Male Artist along side Keith Urban, Troy Cassar-Daley, Adam Brand and James Blundell.

Canberra PCYC Ambassador Darren Percival

Darren is one of Australia's most accomplished vocalists, a Gold record selling recording artist, gifted musician, dedicated songwriter, the wizard of vocal looping, an avid painter and renowned vocal coach.

Recently, he created Sonic Exhibition - an audio art gallery to share his original music with people everywhere...

He established The Singing Space in 1997 to offer individuals, gatherings and choirs the tools to unlock the barriers that stop them from singing and vocalising freely.

His company Harmonious Collaborations facilitates offsite retreats for corporations to maximize business outcomes, transform the wellness of their teams and strengthen productivity by giving confidence to the top talent.

Canberra PCYC Ambassador Josh Mulrine

Josh’s company, Digital Content Studios, was the first ever to be invited to film content inside of the Federal Treasury’s Budget lockup, and to set up an on-site video production suite with an all-access pass to film and photograph at Parliament House on Budget night. DCS is a full-service video production agency. Specialising in corporate video, learning and development, live broadcast, animated explainers, corporate portraits, and event coverage.

DCS runs the only full-size production studio, the DCS Backlot, serving the Canberra region.

Josh is an avid supporter of Canberra PCYC and has produced some incredible content for the company, to help raise awareness to the programs and support we provide to the community of Canberra.
