The Program
Behind the Wheel is an intensive program for young people that promotes positive driving behaviours and prosocial beliefs.
The program provides inexperienced drivers with a chance to develop a deeper appreciation of road safety and the implications of driver behaviour.
Content includes:
- Presentations from first responders
- Interactive sessions
including vehicle checks & maintenance- Driver simulator sessions
- Learner driver skills, and more

Information for Schools
The Behind the Wheel program is funded by the ACT Government and the Rotary Club.
It is completely free for your school to access!
Program delivery can be structured to suit the needs of the school - it is generally run over either 2 fulls days or 10 shorter sequential sessions.
The program is delivered by skilled facilitators/youth workers who are able to engage effectively with young people.

Information for Community
Canberra PCYC also delivers the Behind the Wheel program to the community including in house sessions.
This is available to individual young people or community organisations working with young people.
